Group 10 consists of two industry subsectors: food manufacturing (NAICS 311) and miscellaneous nondurable goods (NAICS 312.6). Annual average employment in these subsectors during the period 1990 through 2014 is shown in the following figure:
From 1990 through 2014, some 152,000, or about one out of ten, of the 1.87 million jobs in these subsectors were lost. Information on each industry subsector is presented here:
